Assumptions to confirm

  • Circular inputs use diameter.
  • Package coverage is the usable coverage printed on the box.
  • Pattern allowance and waste should include cuts, defects, and future repairs.
  • Transitions, underlayment, mortar, and grout are listed separately.

How much waste should I use?

A simple square room often uses 8–10%. Diagonal or complex layouts commonly need 12–15% or more.

Yes. Add rectangles, circles, or triangles and the planner combines their areas before waste.

Should closets be separate?

Separate areas make measurements easier to audit, but one combined area produces the same total.
